1. Overview
This Refund Policy applies to the SingOnTheGo mobile and web application and all associated subscriptions, features, and content provided by Cheryl Porter Method LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").
The SingOnTheGo app is offered through the following subscription plans:
- Monthly subscription billed at $7.99 per month
- Annual subscription billed at $72.00 per year
By purchasing or subscribing to SingOnTheGo, you ("Customer," "User," or "Subscriber") acknowledge and agree to the terms of this Refund Policy.
This Refund Policy governs all access to and continued use of the App on or after the Effective Date, regardless of when the subscription was originally purchased. By accessing, using, or continuing to maintain a subscription to the App on or after the Effective Date, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this Refund Policy.
2. All Subscriptions Are Non-Refundable Once an Account Is Activated
Once an account has been activated, all subscription fees are final and non-refundable. This applies to both the monthly subscription and the annual subscription. No refunds, credits, or partial refunds are issued for any billing period once an account has been activated, regardless of usage, the amount of content accessed, or the time remaining in the billing cycle.
For the purposes of this Policy, an account is considered "activated" once the User has verified the email address associated with the account. Email verification is the point at which access to the SingOnTheGo app and its onboarding process is unlocked.
All subscriptions are non-refundable after activation for the following reasons:
- upon email verification, the User receives immediate and full access to all app features and content available under their plan
- the features, content, and pricing of each subscription plan are clearly disclosed before purchase
- the app is a digital service and access cannot be returned once it has been granted
- by completing payment and verifying their email, the User acknowledges and agrees that the subscription is non-refundable
3. The Only Exception: Accounts That Have Never Been Activated
A refund is available only if the account has never been activated. If a User has been charged but has not yet verified the email address associated with their account, the User may request a refund of that charge.
To qualify for a refund under this exception, all of the following must be true:
- the email address on the account has never been verified
- the User has not completed the onboarding process
- the User has not otherwise accessed the app's content or features
Once the email address has been verified, the account is activated and this exception no longer applies. At that point no refund will be issued on the monthly or annual subscription under any circumstance.
4. Cancelling Your Subscription
You may cancel your subscription at any time directly within the app. Cancellation stops future billing and prevents your subscription from renewing.
Important points regarding cancellation:
- cancelling a subscription is not the same as requesting a refund, and cancellation does not entitle you to a refund of any amount already charged
- when you cancel, you retain access to the app through the end of the current billing period for which you have already paid
- monthly subscriptions will not renew for the following month once cancelled
- annual subscriptions will not renew for the following year once cancelled, and no prorated or partial refund is issued for the unused portion of the annual term
5. How Billing Works
Subscription fees are charged automatically at the start of each billing period using the payment method on file.
- monthly subscriptions are billed every month on the date the subscription began
- annual subscriptions are billed once per year on the date the subscription began
There is no free trial. Billing begins at the time of purchase. By subscribing, you authorize the Company to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
6. Support and Billing Requests
Because subscriptions are non-refundable once an account is activated, the Company does not process refund requests for activated accounts. Users experiencing access, billing, or technical issues should contact our support team in writing.
Support requests should include:
- full name
- email address associated with the account
- date of purchase
- subscription plan purchased (monthly or annual)
- a description of the issue
The Company will review support requests and respond within a reasonable timeframe and will work to resolve access and technical issues, but will not issue refunds on activated accounts, as all activated subscriptions are final.
7. Non-Refundable Circumstances
Refunds will be denied in circumstances including, but not limited to:
- any request made after the account has been activated through email verification
- dissatisfaction with the app after access has been granted
- failure to cancel a subscription before a renewal date
- forgetting about, or not using, an active subscription
- fraudulent refund claims
- abuse of this Refund Policy
- violation of the Terms of Service
The Company reserves the right to refuse refunds where there is evidence of misuse, or of repeated refund requests from the same individual.
8. Revocation of Access Following a Refund
If a refund is approved under the limited exception in Section 3, the User's license to access the app and any associated content will terminate immediately.
Upon issuance of a refund:
- access to the app and its content will be revoked
- the User must cease using or accessing the app
9. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
By subscribing to the app, you agree not to initiate a chargeback with your payment provider without first contacting the Company to attempt to resolve the issue.
Initiating a chargeback without first contacting the Company constitutes a breach of the Terms of Service.
In the event of a chargeback:
- access to the app may be terminated immediately
- the Company may submit evidence of purchase, account activation, and acceptance of the Terms of Service in the dispute process
- the Company reserves the right to pursue recovery of associated costs where permitted by law
10. Governing Law
This Refund Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois.
Any disputes relating to this Refund Policy shall be resolved in accordance with the dispute resolution provisions set forth in the Company's Terms of Service.
